Show Some Blog Love

Have You Seen CNN Lately?

This post is dedicated to people who are blogging for money or may be selling products on their sites and trying to increase traffic. Share the love and it will return to you. There is no better way to increase traffic to your blog. Seriously, if you enjoy a post, don’t forget to Stumble, Digg it, or whatever! I’ve also found that it’s good practice to comment on other folk’s site and on discussion forums to build traffic. Consider joining a strong networking group (offline and/or online) to help boost traffic to your site. Bloglog is a good networking site because if you visit people’s profiles and their blogs, they kind of can’t help but visit you. People are naturally curious.

Mystery Shopping

Those of you who are interested in mystery shopping and receiving mystery shopping leads for free should take a look at the Volition page. Visit the various mystery shopping boards for a list of companies and discussion from people who have worked with the companies. Lurk on the Volition for a while and you will quickly learn about the mystery shopping resource. Volition is an excellent resource. I suggest apartment shops! You get paid for visiting various apartments and completing a report on how the property looks and the customer service when viewing the apartment. There’s a lot to mystery shopping that you may not know. The forms/reports can be extensive and of course even with apartment shops you have to drive to the location. Mystery shopping, however, can be a good way to earn extra money. Sign up for as many companies as you can on the Volition site. It takes a while to build up a good list of companies/places to shop. Yes. You have to work with several companies and complete several shops to make mystery shopping worthwhile. Good luck!

I’m ready for the work at home interview!

I’ve made it to the interview stage with Cloud 10. I took a typing test today, and I guess that I did well because I received an e-mail stating that I successfully completed the typing test. I had to go to the Cloud 10 website and schedule an interview through their applicant process. This entire process at Cloud 10 has been pretty neat! They seem to be a very professional company. There is one glitch. Another work from home employee revealed that Cloud 10 asks that you do not work for any other work from home companies. I suppose that’s ok. I could still write. I would just love to have a stable work from home job, and it looks like Cloud 10 is it. Do you have experience with this company? I’d love to hear from you!

Applying with Cloud 10

I am in the middle of applying for a customer service positon with Cloud 10. So far, I have completed the online application and took an online behavior assessment which asked me all types of questions dealing with how I would respond in certain situations. Some of the questions were kind of tricky. Am I always calm, cool, and collected? I wasn’t that way when I found out that my grandmother had a stroke. I was calm, cool, and collected when a student almost hit me with an ink pen in class (he was aiming for another student). I depends! They also wanted to know how I would rate the importance of certain things when working in customer service. The questions were tough! The next step is a typing test. We’ll see!

Play With My Virtual Sales Doll!

See my new toy! I love this company. Make her say different things like “What’s Up” and “Child Please.” She couldn’t pronounce “Beyonce” but neither could half of the world. LOL. Oh, yeah! Her eyes follow the mouse. That is kind of weird. Order an animated doll for your site, and watch the readers and the number of sales rise! I think that she is a hit.

Dreamhost Withdrew $238 from my account

”Dreamhost’s

My Dreamhost became a nightmare! I noticed a few days ago that $238 had been automatically withdrawn from my bank account for a 2009 payment. Now, if I am not mistaken, we just entered 2008. I paid the 2008 year in full this December. Being the calm, reasonable Christian woman that I am, I sent them a polite e-mail. I got no response at all. Only after searching the website did I happen upon their blog which explained that they mistakenly billed over $9,600,000 from their customers. That was certainly a clue that something was wrong. They wrote that they were extremely sorry. I did get a refund. I hate it for people who may have had checks bounce over this, or people who had to pay important bills only to realize that the money was gone!
