My name is Claudine, and I live in Georgia. I currently work with special education students and their parents. That’s my full time job. In my spare time, I work from home. I am also a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. I have a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, and I am working toward a master’s degree in Information Design and Communication. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a newspaper reporter in North Carolina and Virginia. I later worked for a New York Times Regional Newspaper. Although I enjoyed writing, I didn’t enjoy the stress associated with working in the newspaper industry. I covered education, government, and crime (on rotation with other reporters on the late shift).
I worked as a public relations specialist for a while at a state university in Georgia, and took a giant leap in 2000. I resigned from my job and began working from home full-time. Because I love writing profiles and travel-related stories, I worked on building travel-related clips. I managed to get invited to awesome places like Aruba, London, St. Croix, and Mexico. I wrote about travel, business, and people profiles and was published in Essence Magazine, Showcase Magazine, The Luxury Source, Creative Loafing, and several web sites. I suffered during the dot-com crash. My markets closed up and many of the web sites that I worked for closed. Several of the publications no longer accepted freelance articles. Those were lean times, and I eventually went back to work in the outside world.
I took time to think about my purpose in life, and I realized that I wanted to help people. I was hired in my current job, working in public schools. I enjoy helping families. I have seen how lack of finances can devastate a family. I still love to write, so I decided to create this site as a means to help others get ideas on ways that they could build businesses and supplement their incomes. Working at home is great, but you have to be financially stable to build your business. You know the old saying: It takes money to make money. It’s a good idea to work all you can and raise money to pay off debts. Starting your business when you are financially secure, and hopefully debt free (for everything except maybe your house). I hope that you join me, as I bring you work at home opportunities to supplement your income or help ends meet.
Claudine
