Moms, Get Paid to Drive

Miles of Marketing is looking for moms to drive your own vehicles with advertisements (usually magnets) and get paid. You must be knowledgeable about the products that you advertise. You will drive with the advertisements on your vehicle and chat it up with friends and family. Mom Representatives are paid every two weeks. Visit the Miles of Marketing site to apply. Remember, this opportunity is for moms who are fun-loving, usually drive around for various chores, and are not afraid to promote goods and services. If I were a mom, I’d think about applying for this one!

The Country is in a Financial Mess

Watch the video of this news report, and even if you are not looking for a job you may change your mind. Most of us are underemployed, living from paycheck to paycheck just to make ends meet. I’m right there with you! I have a few part-time jobs (a few are work at home) to help pay bills and save for my future. If you have relatives who are disabled, I urge you to pass the work at home jobs along to them. If you have relatives or friends who are looking for work, pass the jobs on this site along to them. Most of the jobs will not take the place of a full-time job, but they could help people who are desperately looking for work. Mothers with young children may want to apply for data entry jobs so they can stay at home with their kids and not have to worry so much about paying for daycare.

New York Gets Engaged

O.k. the reunion show for I Love New York just went off and Tailor Made proposed to New York. She said yes. Ezra and David were looking tight as all get out. They said that New York was not ready for real black men, and I agree. She looked very happy with Tailor Made. Apparently they moved in together three days after she selected him in Jamaica. Oh, yeah and Mr. Wise tried to attack Tailor Made on the show. Ms. Patterson had it out with the Entertainer’s mom. Tiffany literally showed her backside. There will not be a I Love New York 3. I just hope that Ezra and David get their own shows. That would be cool.

Data Entry Jobs for Telecommuters

A fellow teacher at my school recently asked for data entry work at home jobs. Most people who are looking to work from home want a relatively easy job, something that they don’t have to think much about. I can’t promise that the following companies have easy, brainless jobs, but they have hired typists in the past. I have transcribed in the past. Sometimes the audio is difficult to hear or understand, so you spend time going back to try to transcribe that information. It helps if you are a fast and accurate typist. Some of these companies require you to have experience. Not all of the jobs are currently hiring.

TigerFish Note: This company has been around since 1989. They apparently hire people with no experience. There is a test on the page so you can give transcribing a try to see if you really like it.
Ubiqus
Escriptionist
Cyber Dictate
Use Task, you must have three years worth of experience
ANP, this link goes directly to the careers page.
OSI Medical Transcription
Mass Transcription
Transcription Services Inc., applicants must type 70 words per minute and have a year of experience
Morningside Partners (has various work at home jobs for transcribers)

Opportunities for Writers

Any Monkey Can Blog

Those of you who enjoy freeelance writing for money may be interested in writing content for HubPages. HubPages is a platform which will help you to earn a reputation as a writer. You can also earn money from advertising (Adsense) placed on the site. In fact, you will earn 60% if the money generated from your ads. Don’t expect to get rich, though. HubPages advertises that some people make hundreds or thousands of dollars. I think that you should expect to earn just a few dollars a month to begin with, if that much. Having a HubPages could help drive traffic to your blog, though. Millions of people visit HubPages. HubPages appears to be adored by search engines. People who find you on your HubPages may trickle to your blog.

HubPages has hired writers in the past like Lela Davidson who writes about parenting. Lela states that she write her HubPage to for the love of sharing parenting advice. My theory is this: If you write often, and you write content-rich articles, visitors will come. The more people who read what you write, the more people will accept your product recommendations or buy products advertised on your site. So, if you use HubPages write, and write often.

Work at Home Jobs to Tide You Through

Do What You Love

People always preach that you should do what you love and eventually, you will earn the money that you need. That’s true to some extent. Of course, you need to be good at what you love. Some people love singing, but Lord knows that they can’t hold a note. Go to an amature night and you’d hear what I mean. Watch Showtime at the Apollo on television one night. There’s nothing wrong with doing something (legal and moral) that you like or can tolerate to help you build an emergency fund, pay bills, or prepare for a future expense. I believe that everyone should have a second job in the wings. I have worked for companies like Tutor.com, Onsite Publishing (work at home data entry) Cypher Services (work at home data entry). At one point, I applied and begun the training to work for LiveOps for customer services, but I didn’t enjoy customer service and didn’t feel comfortable taking orders over the phone. I didn’t continue on to work for LiveOps.

In some cases, you will need a high speed connections and not dial-up to work from home. Make sure that you review all of the necessary requirements before applying. Don’t wait until an emergency arises to apply for a second job. Apply now, work a few hours every week to build an emergency fund or for a back up job.

Other Places To Consider:
Accolade Support, hires telecommuters for customer service
SCI at Home, hires telecommuters for customer service
Working Solutions has various work at home jobs
