Iam shocked at how many people have limited soft skills or people skills. Some people simply do not know how to communicate effectively and tactfully. Other people, I think, have reached a certain level career-wise, and they think that it is OK to talk to others in any tone they choose. Everyone needs essential people skills. We must be very careful because the fall from the top is longer than the fall from the bottom! Frankly, it’s easy to think that you are bigger or more important than you are. Who are you? Status is man-made. It is worldly, and in the larger scheme of things, it is unimportant.

Be good to each other. When you make an error, apologize. Never assume that you know someone , and never assume that you know everyone. It’s a big world out there, and we are all complex individuals. Treat others as you would like to be treated, and be mindful of offending others. Mistakes may cost you your home business and your reputation. I don’t burn bridges, but sometimes I may singe them.
