People always preach that you should do what you love and eventually, you will earn the money that you need. That’s true to some extent. Of course, you need to be good at what you love. Some people love singing, but Lord knows that they can’t hold a note. Go to an amature night and you’d hear what I mean. Watch Showtime at the Apollo on television one night. There’s nothing wrong with doing something (legal and moral) that you like or can tolerate to help you build an emergency fund, pay bills, or prepare for a future expense. I believe that everyone should have a second job in the wings. I have worked for companies like Tutor.com, Onsite Publishing (work at home data entry) Cypher Services (work at home data entry). At one point, I applied and begun the training to work for LiveOps for customer services, but I didn’t enjoy customer service and didn’t feel comfortable taking orders over the phone. I didn’t continue on to work for LiveOps.
In some cases, you will need a high speed connections and not dial-up to work from home. Make sure that you review all of the necessary requirements before applying. Don’t wait until an emergency arises to apply for a second job. Apply now, work a few hours every week to build an emergency fund or for a back up job.
